Diabetes New Therapies
I began to see a connection with my patients who were suffering with diabetes. Some of them had kidney problems such as frequency of urination. Laboratory tests showed that they were losing albumin in their urine. In the later stages, there was kidney failure such that blood chemistries were abnormal. Serum creatinine would be too high and blood serum potassium would be too high. These patients, because of kidney failure, would die of heart arrest. The heart would quit beating because of the high creatinine and high potassium.
