Summer Protein Cooler
Ingredients
- Melon seeds and accompanying glop
- Pineapple juice
Directions
Place all of above in the blender (enough pineapple juice so the blender operates easily.) Blend to thoroughly pulverize the seeds. Let stand for 5 minutes so the pineapple enzymes can begin to predigest the seeds. Strain and enjoy a cool summer refresher high in protein.
(The seeds are much more beneficial this way than put into your compost. Normally we recommend using the whole seed, but these seeds the sharpness of the fibrous coating is undesirable).
