According to the final version of a comprehensive report on the relationship between hydraulic fracturing activities and drinking water resources in the US, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has concluded that the oil and gas extraction technique, also known as fracking, has contaminated drinking water in certain circumstances - a reversal of their previous position.
