Dear Dr. Pottenger:
Thank you very much for your confidence in asking me to present a paper before the next meeting of the International College of Applied Nutrition. Although I have been a student of this subject for over 25 years I have not made any scientific studies to confirm my clinical observations.
Though such clinical data at times seems quite profound, I must say that I face reluctantly write a paper with only such evidence. You, I am sure, appreciate how such conclusions can often be far from the truth.
On the other hand, I have been on the receiving end of your good work and hard efforts along with so many others, that I think it only right that I now do something to reciprocate.
I would suggest a title–The Atomic Cocktail “Nutrition’s Picture Window”. In pursuing this subject I would like to relate some of the uses of radio-active isotopes to our understanding of dental diseases and nutrition.
Please do not hesitate to make any constructive suggestions you might think wise for me to consider. Best wishes from Eleanor and myself,
Cordially yours,
George E. Meinig, D.D.S.
