There's Lots of Vitamin C in this Fruit!


A fruit with 50 times more vitamin C than an orange grows wild in the Australian bush, according to a recent issue of the British medical journal "The Lancet." A Sydney University nutrition expert wrote to the "Lancet" that the fruit, which looks and tastes like and English gooseberry, may be the richest source of vitamin C in the world.  The Latin name for the fruit is Terminalia Ferdinandiana, The name given to it by the Australian Aborigines is "manmohpan".
