Long-term exposure to air pollution may affect how well we sleep, according to new research presented at ATS 2017, the American Thoracic Society International Conference. The researchers examined data from 1,863 people to estimate air pollution exposures at their homes. They focused on two common pollutants: nitrogen dioxide (NO2), a traffic-related pollutant gas; and fine particulate matter (PM2.5).
