Soda Drinkers Have Higher Cancer Risk
A study by researchers at the Tata Memorial Hospital in India found that soda drinkers, who represent a huge percentage of the US population, may have a higher risk of developing esophageal (throat) cancer. During the last 50 years, per capita consumption of carbonated drinks in the US has risen over 450%. Meanwhile, in the last 25 years rates of this cancer have risen by over 570%.
