In the News, Summer 2017: Concern Over Dairy Products Found to Be Groundless

A meta-analysis of 29 studies, published in the European Journal of Epidemiology, showed that dairy products - including milk, cheese, and yogurt - do not increase all-cause mortality or risk of either coronary heart disease (CHD) or cardiovascular disease (CVD). Moreover, the researchers found that cheese and fermented dairy consumption were associated with a modest reduction in CVD risk.
