In the News, Summer 2017: Artificial Light Disrupts Nighttime Pollination

The worldwide decline of daytime pollinators, such as bees, has been widely publicized. Now, a study conducted by ecologists at the University of Bern, in Switzerland, shows that light pollution from street lamps and other sources of artificial light is compounding the problem by disrupting the work of nocturnal pollinators, such as moths and beetles.
