In The News, Fall 2018: Low Magnesium Levels Prevent Vitamin D Metabolism
A research review published in The Journal of the American Osteopathic Association has found that sufficient levels of magnesium are necessary for the activation and metabolization of vitamin D in the body. Without enough magnesium, vitamin D will remain stored and inactive, potentially causing a state of deficiency despite efforts at supplementation.
