In The News, Fall 2014: Studies Reveal Differences Between GMOs and Conventional Crops

Studies carried out by independent scientists unassociated with the biotech industry have revealed that striking differences exist between genetically modified (GM) crops and their non-GM counterparts. These findings directly oppose the “substantial equivalence” principle, upon which the FDA largely bases its regulations pertaining to the safety testing and approval of new food products, including genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
