Homeopathic First Aid

Homeopathy is a complete system of medicine that was developed by Samuel Hahnemann over 200 years ago. At that time, doctors often performed bloodletting on their patients, and they used crude drugs such as mercury. Hahnemann, a chemist and medical doctor, became dissatisfied with the results he was seeing in his patients and eventually came to the conclusion that he was doing them more harm than good.
Hahnemann ceased his work as a doctor and focused instead on his work as a chemist and translator. He was very intelligent and knew numerous languages, including German, English, French, Latin, Italian, and Greek. While translating medical texts, he found something that interested him greatly: the symptoms of Peruvian bark (cinchona) poisoning were the same as those of malaria. He knew that Peruvian bark was often used to treat malaria, and this sparked great curiosity in him. How could a substance known for treating malaria also produce malaria-type symptoms?
