From Soil to Plant to Plate
Health begins in the soil. Healthful nutrition is built on the fruits, vegetables and grains we eat -- plants and their byproducts. The fundamental core of nutrition includes the major minerals, the complex carbohydrates, fats and proteins, together with special compounds needed in small amounts: vitamins, enzymes, coenzymes, essential fatty acids, energy/growth regulators, and trace elements. Production and application of all of these exist due to the soil, in which plants grow. Human nutrition depends on all these nutrients that come from living soil.
