Literally millions of people of all ages would probably shout a resounding "yes" to that question in our title and in fact, get pretty testy at the barest suggestion of any hazards involved in what has become a national pastime. A recent Gallup Poll finds "the percentage of Americans who have tried marijuana had doubled during the last four years." And Robert Dupont, head of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) reported this March that smoking pot "is no longer an act of protest, but a behavior that has for millions entered the mainstream of their life style."
