Craniosacral Therapy: Total Body Care & Preventative Medicine at Its Best – An Interview with Bridgette Chelf, DC
Carol Simon interviews Bridgette Chelf, DC. In 1970, Osteopathic Physician John E. Upledger first witnessed the rhythmic movement of the cranial-sacral system. Upledger questioned whether the spinal rhythms might have been caused by an internal hydraulic system. Over the years, Upledger and his colleagues experimented, repeatedly testing the hydraulic theory on patients. As a result, the doctors were able to demonstrate that light-touch therapy could be used to both evaluate and treat brain and spinal-cord malfunctions. To date, tens of thousands of health-care practitioners worldwide have been trained to perform this amazing therapy.
