Calcium But One of 19 Conditions in Osteoporosis
Dear Dr. Meinig: Everyone seems to be talking about osteoporosis these days. Easily broken bones and hips are viewed on T.V., magazines and newspapers. All this has focused on the calcium deficiency that they say is prevalent in these cases. As a result, calcium sales are increasing fantastically. Seems to me that you have said this is more than a calcium problem.
In view of all this new interest in calcium, would you mind covering some of the important factors involved in the osteoporosis calcium problem? --B.F.
