Book Review: The Estrogen Alternative
My definition of a good book is a well-researched, carefully-articulated discussion that not only teaches me new facts or sheds new light on previously-known facts, but also challenges me to change my thinking in some area. Raquel Martin’s endeavor meets these criteria. Martin, a lay person whose life was almost ruined by synthetic hormones, hopes that other women will not have to repeat her experience. Her book, which I heartily recommend for women of any age (and their healthcare practitioners), is packed with a wide variety of usable information that is under-girded by impressive research.
