Book Review: Lovestart: Pre-Birth Bonding
LoveStart: Pre-Birth Bonding: In the tradition of The Secret Life of the Unborn Child by Thomas Verny and Babies Remember Birth by Dr. David Chamberlain, Eve Marnie, R.N. shares her ways of communicating with your unborn baby and taking charge of your child's birth.
The new baby boom of the 80's has produced parents who are more concerned than ever about giving their children everything that the parents did not have. That includes a warm, loving bond before birth. New evidence seems to indicate that everything we experience before birth as well as the birth process itself can be remembered in later life and helps to form the foundation upon which we build our basic belief systems.
Reducing the Risk of Alzeheimer's: The information in this book should be in the possession of every person. Dr. Weiner presents in great detail the case from the scientific literature for the correlation of Alzheimer's with aluminum poisoning.
Some investigators in the field have downplayed the role of aluminum by observing that many persons are exposed to aluminum without developing the senile dementia characteristic of Alzheimer's. Actually, aluminum does not easily pass the blood-brain barrier but entry can take a place on damage to the barrier. Ordinary methods of examination cannot reveal whether or not a given person has suffered such damage at a time when blood aluminum was high. In addition, it has been argued that the nerve tangles seen in Alzheimer's appear on autopsy of brains of persons not having the dementia and are, therefore, not critical in the development of the disease. Closer examination suggests, however, that the differences between those with Alzheimer's and those without may well be a quantitative one.
