Liz Wolfe's Eat the Yolks is a rebellious real food manifesto. In it, she asserts that our nation's chronic health problems, including heart disease, diabetes, and obesity, can be attributed to our fear of animal fats and cholesterol, and our tendency to follow flawed nutritional recommendations. Her surprisingly simple solution is based on the Paleo framework, which emphasizes real foods - whole and minimally processed foods that have a long history in the human diet. In direct opposition to modern nutritional doctrine, Wolfe holds that the key to good health is a diet that includes muscle and organ meats, eggs, and fat from properly raised animals.
