For human beings, homeostasis commonly refers to the internal balance of the body's electro-magnetic and chemical systems. This balance permits and encourages proper performance of those internal functions necessary for growth, healing and life itself. Repeated often enough, the loss of homeostasis becomes a very serious problem. The food substances which cause the most trouble include refined sugar (in all its myriad forms), caffeine, alcohol, overcooked meats and fats, over-processed foods and aluminum, to name a few. A simple, self-administered test of your urine will tell you whether or not you are in homeostasis.
