Another Reason to Eat the Low-Carb Way Alarming Effects From Methods of Cooking Carbohydrates
Last spring Swedish researchers discovered acrylamide in deep fried potatoes and a few foods like that. Continuing investigation and research has found this highly toxic and carcinogenic substance in very high amounts in many foods previously considered to be healthy. In fact, it is found in every baked good, especially crisped ones, no matter how organic. Acrylamide is found in any carbohydrate food that is heated through deep frying, pan frying, roasting or even baking. This is bad news, really bad news because this is a carcinogenic chemical that is produced during normal cooking methods in common foods whether they are organic and pesticide-free or not.
