Regarding the potential benefits of phytic acid (binds iron and ensures copper absorption), I was just wondering 'What Would Price-Pottenger Say' - Sometimes it seems there's as much fervor around soaking/sprouting as there is around fermented cod liver oil.
I just finished Dr. Price's book and I have to say WOW! When he talks about the acid and bases of food with regards to dental care, it is interesting to me that this very topic still has a lot of misinformation around it. I was under the impression myself that one needs to try to maintain a more alkaline diet- especially when looking for cancer prevention. However, it was brought to my attention that plants also contain acid content. Is there any information out there (factual) that could shed some light on this? I guess I have heard that cancer cells can't survive environments that contain lots of oxygen and alkalinity... but then again this doesn't account for mineral and vitamin content within the human being.
