What if the key to healthier soil and thriving gardens has been with us for thousands of years?
Join Jack Spirko, host of The Survival Podcast, and Price-Pottenger board member Nora Gedgaudas for an insightful webinar on biochar—an ancestral soil amendment making a powerful modern comeback.
What is biochar? Biochar is a simple charcoal-like substance, created through pyrolysis of organic materials, and has deep roots in history. Indigenous peoples of the Amazon Basin used biochar to create rich, fertile soils known as terra preta.
Today, modern science confirms what these ancient cultures knew—that biochar’s unique porous structure provides the perfect habitat for beneficial microorganisms while enhancing water retention and nutrient availability in your soil.
Why biochar is a game-changer:
Whether you’re cultivating a backyard garden or managing farmland, this webinar will equip you with practical tips for making and applying biochar at any scale.
📚What You Will Learn:
Stick around for an exclusive Q&A session at the end, where you’ll have the chance to ask Jack and Nora your questions about biochar and sustainable soil practices.
Don’t miss this opportunity to revive an ancestral practice and harness its proven benefits for your growing space.

Jack Spirko
Jack Spirko is best know today as the host of The Survival Podcast. The show has been running since 2008 and now has over 3,000 episodes available on all aspects of self-sufficiency, self-reliance, independence and personal liberty.
Spirko calls himself a Modern Survivalist and claims to have coined the phrase as well. His assertion is that all humans are at their core survivalists as they all seek to survive. Modern Survivalism differs from the conventional concept of survivalism in that it does not turn away from modern technology, rather it simply seeks to create redundancies for when technology fails.
Additionally modern survivalism is very broad including aspects of homesteading, investing, economics, debt elimination, individual sovereignty, permaculture along with traditional survivalist concepts like primitive skills and military tactics.
