Announcing a New Initiative in the Ancestral Diet Communities
Happy 2023! Last year was grounding for Price-Pottenger from a planning standpoint, and this year will be transformative from an action standpoint. We’ve only just returned from the Symposium for Metabolic Health (SMH) in Boca Raton, Florida, where we held a first-ever workshop with metabolic health pioneers and the public in our mission to build community, advance ancestral nutrition knowledge, and empower healthful living.
Inspired by the studies and research of Drs. Price, Pottenger, and other nutrition, human, and planet health pioneers, this workshop, titled Interdependence: the Power of Connectivity in Changing Paradigms, is designed to spark the conversation: How can we unite diet communities to advance ancestral/evolutionary human and planet health practices with a single voice?
Our gratitude goes out to SMH organizers, Pam Devine and Doug Reynolds, and to the many others who joined us and shared their hopes and dreams in this inaugural gathering. And we’re very pleased to be holding future convening workshops with the support of Dr. Jeffry Gerber at LowCarb Denver and Robin Switzer at KetoCon.
Whether you’re a practitioner, an aficionado, or you’re just curious about practices to empower your personal health, we encourage you to attend these conferences (and others to be announced) and join us for Interdependence. Use the links provided for a special discount offer.

Hosting these workshops is a first step in our strategic initiative, Connectivity, designed to bring groups with varied diet approaches together to establish collaborative programs that advance ancestral-inspired natural health. Today’s diet communities, including paleo, carnivore, keto, primal, and others, advocate important and valuable nutrition practices, but by focusing on what makes them unique, rather than emphasizing what they have in common, diminishes the potential of the broader ancestral health community. In the meantime, the plant-based diet movement and products are overwhelming our grocery stores and dominating public discourse.
We are at our best when we focus on those things that connect us. If you believe, as we do, that this work will lead to cooperation, collaboration, and actions that will advance community health, please consider supporting Price-Pottenger by clicking on Donate.
We hope to see you in an Interdependence workshop soon,
Steven J. Schindler,
Executive Director
