What types and dosage of iodine should I take?
Question
What is your opinion of Lugol’s Iodine either orally or transdermally to increase iodine levels? Do you agree with David Brownstein’s recommended dose levels for iodine?
I’ve read you supplement with kelp to obtain your iodine. All kelp I have tested with my Inspector EXP radiation detector has shown 2-3x background radiation levels. Is there a kelp supplement you are aware of that has minimal or no radioactive particles?
Answer
If Lugols is used properly, I approve it, but I prefer Iosol.
No, I do not agree on Brownstein’s dosage for the many reasons which have been elaborated over the years in articles written by Dr. Alan Gaby MD. Many of these articles have been published in the Townsend Letter. I find in my own practice that most of my patients do best at doses which vary from about 3/4mg to possibly as high as 2mg per day, as I state in many of my lectures.
When I use Kelp Capsules, I use the NOW product part number 2675. It tests about the same as my background level of radiation and lower than the granite countertops in my kitchen with my Inspector Meter.
